Yesterday me and Sam worked with his family doing frybread and a big ol' country concert thing about an hour away from Mesa. We worked from 12-12 in the hot hot heat and then the cold cold. So after a long day of taking orders, making food, staring and lots of white trash people, LOTS of white trash people, and cleaning up WE WERE TIRED!! BUT! I did get to see Dierks Bentley perform, and a little bit of Kelly Pickler and I didn't actually see him, but i did get to hear Billy Ray Cyrus. :) Anyway, we got home around 1 am and were pooped so we went right to bed!
This morning Sam had to go work again ( I didn't go cause I'm righteous and stayed for church, which i actually understood cause 2 white guys spoke from the high counsel, so that was fun! Did I spell counsel right? Or is it council? hmmm...) and he was getting ready to leave but couldn't find his keys ANYWHERE! We looked everywhere in our little apartment and couldn't find them! So we thought maybe we locked them in the truck or something, so Sam opens the door to go look outside, and OH, there they were.................Sam had left them in the door after he unlocked it last night! So all night long, there they sat for anyone in the crazy city of Mesa to take! And me and Sam were so dead tired that we wouldn't have even heard anyone come in to our apartment or take our truck! Ahhh! We were so dang lucky. Not that we live in a creepy part of town, but still, ya never know! Anyway, we were glad we said our prayers last night! :)
Ok, now, a funny story. But it probably won't be even half as funny as it was yesterday but I just have to share it! Haha I'm just laughing thinkin about it, ok anyway...
Yesterday me and Vila (sam's sister/cousin) were in the front taking orders for frybread, and a man came up to us and his shirt said "Cat Racing" ....ya know, like a name of a racing company...i don't know what they race, maybe 4-wheelers or motor bikes or something, I don't know...but seeing the shirt you know it was some type of racing company!
And Vila says to him, "Oh, do you race your cats?!"
But she meant like a cat as in a meow cat...and she was DEAD serious!
OOOOOH MY GOSH I BUST UP LAUGHING SOO HARD! I seriously was crying! Leka & Fina (my sister in law and a cousin) heard it too and were laughing so hard with me. The guy just looked at Vila like, "are you serious?" And Vila had no idea why we were laughing, she didn't understand!
I cried I was laughing so hard, and Sam missed what happened so I was trying to explain it to him but I was laughing too hard to spit it out. Oh man, it was so funny. MAYBE you had to be there, and maybe you have to know Vila...but it was hilarious.
Wow, I'm laughing so hard again, by myself and I feel a little dumb so I better end it. AND I'm really hungry so I'm going to make me some lunch...
