Happy Birthday to Sam...& other stuff

The 25th was Sams day of birth and he turned 24! He only had a few houses to spray so he spent most of the day at my house with me and Chase. We just hung out and ate lunch and he opened the presents I got him. I got him some new Nike shoes, 2 pairs of basketball shorts and some plain t-shirts to play ball in, a nice shirt, some socks(cuz all his socks were holey and sick and old) a frame that I made him at Anneke's house with a picture of us in it and some peanut butter M&M's! I'm pretty sure he loved everything I got him, but he really loved the frame. He said that was his favorite part. :) That night we were SUPPOSED to go out to dinner but I ended up not having a car to use, so we just hung out at his apt and he went and played ball with all his buddies and I watched...not a very eventful evening bout the day was fun!

I think we're going to go out for dinner this weekend cuz I will have my very own car! FINALLY!! Torrey bought me a car off of ebay the other day, and we are going to pick it up saturday morning. Its an old ugly 2-door Saturn, but hey..its a car so i dont even care! I'm so stinkin happy to finally have my own vehicle to use! I'll never have to worry about having a car to use at night! woohoo!

I think thats all the new news with me...I go to NEW YORK next weekend, i'm pretty pumped about that!

ROAD KILL

Last night me and Sam went to my friend Julies house for a fire and dutch oven cobbler(which was delish) and had a lot of fun...! We were driving back to Sam's apartment and were having a good time in the car talking and listening to music and I was totally following the speed limit and being a good driver, when out of nowhere some animal came barelling into the road at full speed and there wasn't much i could do but hit the crap out of it!

Now, I drive a big car so we know this animal did not live, cuz I was going 60 mph and yeah...there's no way it lived. It was really quite disgusting too. Cuz we felt it hit and could hear it....REALLY sick. i held my hand over my mouth for a mins cuz I thought i was gonna hurl. Sam was pretty sicked out too, cuz i hit it on his side and he said he could feel it under him as we hit, ya know. EWW IS THE WORD!

Poor little innocent animal...We didnt get a good enough look at what KIND of animal it was cuz it happened so fast. But i do know that it was a light brown/tannish color and it had a tail...and 4 legs. thats about it. Sam thinks it was a cat. But it was much too big to be a cat...I personally think it was a mountain lion. :) (i'm just kidding...duh)

Anyway..thats my disgusting story for the day. Have good times.

MY HOUSE

So! This is my house, part of it got cut off cuz I couldn't fit it all in the picture, and thats the car that I drive!

When ya walk in the front door you'll see this! And if ya look to the right, we have a dining room that is NEVER used, and to the left is Torrey's office that he does real estate stuff in!

DOWNSTAIRS

So here are a couple pictures of the downstairs...there's another huge room i didn't take a picture of cuz its just empty and boring. But this is the living room, the mini bar area & my bathroom and messy messy room. It normally isn't so bad..but I'm in the process of packing so that's why its a disaster area! And I have a really cute bed spread and its cute when its clean..so I'll take a pic when its clean and post it later. :)

...just chase's room and the master bedroom...there are 2 other bedrooms(the older boys' rooms), and 2 other bathrooms and a laundry room upstairs...but i didn't take pics of those. so just pretend.

Oh. White Trash.

A few weekends ago, me and a group of friends decided to go to Maryland to a Demoliton Derby.

Sounds like a fun adventure right?

Right...

We thought it was only about an hour and a half away, so it would just be a fun little trip. Well! Me and Sam rode with my friends Chris and Laura, and Laura drove. Bad idea. She's so directionally challenged. BIG TIME! Anyway, so we left early so we could get there and save some good seats for our other friends who were gonna be a little bit late! Well, since Laura sucks we only got there about 10 mins before our other friends did cuz we got lost a few times! So the only seats left were on the very first row...which is the worst place to sit ever cuz the view is totally blocked by all the people walking by! And to make matters worse, to our right were some old people who I swear smoked a whole pack of cigs and were blowing smoke all over us....to our left were some TOTALLY wasted people who were loud and annoying and behind us was a group of teenagers that drove us all nuts! Oh, and there was a huge pole blocking Sam's view...so he was leaning in towards me to see around the pole..which pushed me closer to the smoking old lady. GAH!

Chris is taking the picture....and I wasn't aware that he was taking it, obviously. Laura is behind me in the green...she sucks at driving but is so hilariously funny so I love her anyway. And thats cute Sam next to me. :)
You will also notice the old smokers...and the annoying teenagers in the back. ugh. You can't really tell from this picture, but there were SOO many white trash people there. I feel like a big fat jerk face saying that..but its so true. I've never seen so many dudes in sick tight tank tops with their hairy chest hanging out, holding a beer in their hand. And girls with a baby on their hip, wearing a pink spaghetti strap, with white shorts so tight you wonder how they managed to get them on and maneuver, with their bleached blonde hair and dark roots showing pulled back in a scrunchie.

OH THE INSANITY!!

But all in all it was actually pretty fun. Sam and Chris, and some dude that came with my friend Kami were making bets on what car would make it to the end and were getting all into it, so they were entertaining to watch and listen to! No cars started on fire or got tipped over, so that was disappointing...but we still had fun.

We stopped on the way home and all went out to eat at Applebees. Did you know that after 9 pm the appetizers are half off? yeah! Killer deal...anyway....and then we got lost on the way home because Laura is a moron and wouldn't listen to Chris, so the hour and a half drive turned into about 2 hours and 45 mins. But I was okay with it because I slept most of the way... :)

The old lady next to me was using her hand to block the sun from her eyes, and after looking at her flab for so long...i couldn't help but take a picture and send it to everyone i knew. haha. i'm so funny.

So! I've decided to join the wild world of blogging...with a little help from Blad. I'm still not sure what the crap I'm doing or what to even blog about...but I'm just gonna go with it. We'll see what happens!

So I'm sure Brad & Andrea are the only people who will even look at this, but I'm still gonna give a little background info!....


I've been living in Dumfries, Virginia for the past 4 months working as a nanny and it is FABULOUS!! I love it. Its so pretty and green here! Soooo many trees! It's crazy...There are places that exist that you'd never know about because trees hide everything. The freeways are lined with trees so you can't see into the towns/cities you pass very well. Its not like driving on I-15 in Salt Lake, thats for sure. And traffic SUCKS!! All the time....rush hour is every hour here. So to go about 8 miles takes 20 minutes. It can get irritating at times, but I've sorta gotten used to it. And drivers here seem to be either really nice or really rude. No inbetween.....its one or the other. I've gotten flipped off so many times, for no reason....people just flip ya off. I guess it's the thing to do here...? One time I saw a younger girl, probably around my age, totally flip off an old grandma lady for not turning quicker! Give me a break! She's a grandma! But then there are people who smile and wave at ya while stopped at a stoplight. People out here are so interesting. I could sit and just watch people all day. There are some weirdies....and I no longer go to Wal-Mart after dark cuz it turns into mini-mexico/africa and it gets pretty creepy! Anyway!

I live about 30 mins south of Washington D.C. and about 3 hours from Virginia Beach. So thats fun...There is always something going on and there is so much to see and do here! Good times... I live with an awesome family and watch the cutest 1 1/2 yr old boy EVER! There's the little man, Chase. He's the cutest..He's starting to learn lots of new words and how to count and he's a lot of fun. A lot of work, but a lot of fun. I love my job! I also have the raddest friend ever in the world. I'm closest to three...Kami, Julie and Randi. (Randi moved home to Utah in April, but we still talk almost everyday and have gotten really close) They are great times 10. We have a ton of fun whenever we hang out. Which hasn't been a lot lately cuz i've been a bit preoccupied with a boy...I'll get to him later :) But they are awesome friends and I love them tons. And through them I've met a bunch of really cool people out here. So LIFE IS GOOD!

But the best part of living in Virginia so far has been meeting Samson Aisea Levatau! He moved out here May 8th to do pest control for the summer, and we've been dating since then. He's the best. I'm pretty much with him every night after he gets off work and we have a ton of fun together. He makes me happy and I'm very much in love with him!

Well, I think thats enough background info for now...my bum is starting to go numb and thats a good indicator that I've been sitting here for far too long. I need to get some things accomplished while Chaser is sleeping!
