Baby Shower

I was all pumped and ready to sit and spend some time blogging, but now that I'm holding still long enough....I'm really lazy and just want to take a nap. So my big idea of having a fun post has fizzled... I will just make this as short and sweet as possible! It'll be mostly pictures, but thats more fun anyway, right?!

So last Friday my sister Andrea flew down to stay with us for a few days. I was so happy she was able to come, it was lots of fun to have her here. I gotta say sorry though to her...we really didn't do much! BUT we did eat some amazingly delicious pizza...I think that in itself made her trip worthwhile!! Ok, back to Friday... that night my sister in laws threw me a baby shower at Sam's parents house. It was soo great!! They put in so much time and went way above and beyond... I was so thankful! I walked in and about cried! It was decorated so cute and there was so much yummy looking food...I was overwhelmed with gratefulness! It was a packed house..but it was a lot of fun. We ate, played some games and then I opened up allllll the presents! I'm sure people were sitting there bored out of their minds watching me..but there were so many gifts, and I tried to go as fast as possible! We got soooooo much stuff! Tons of clothes..and when I say tons...I mean TONS, blankets, diapers, wipes, diaper bags (4 to be exact), a bassinet, bottles, pacifiers, a really cool storage/shelf thing that I'm pumped about since we don't have a changing table, so it'll be great to hold diapers and wipes, gift cards to Target and Wal-Mart...yay, a boppy pillow...also VERY excited about that, a glider rocker...which about made me cry. I wanted one of those so bad, but just figured it'd have to wait til we had some money, but my sis in law, Salo, got it for us. I'm so excited about it. And we also got a car seat and stroller! And lots of other things, but I'll stop there. I was so overwhelmed. A good overwhelmed. After all the gifts were opened Salo asked if I wanted to say anything before we ended the shower.. and I just stood up there and cried. What a baby...geeeez! I wasn't the only one crying though... I saw Andrea had a few tears, and so did my sister in laws! :) But I was seriously just so thankful I couldn't help it!! We only needed a few more things til I felt like we were READY for baby to get here.. and we got it all AND some. We're so so so so so blessed and thankful! Between the shower at my mom's house(I never did post about that, but it of course was such a fun shower! Most of my friends from high school were able to be there and so many good friends from my mom's ward came too. It was a ton of fun) and the shower here we have more than we could have ever hoped for! For real...I can't think of one single thing we would need that we don't already have. We're set!

That same night, Sam's co-workers told him they were all going to go out for dinner just for fun, which worked out nicely cause he went with them during the shower. But he got there to a surprise baby shower for him!! :) So he came home with a car full of gifts too that night!! Andrea and I pretty much sorted through everything and made some piles that night, and that's as far as we got with organizing and putting it all away!! Everything sat out in our living room til last night when I FINALLY got some motivation to take care of it all! And it feels so great to have it all done. Our closet is packed with little pink things...but it all looks so nice and organized! I'm really happy about it. I was worried there for awhile that we wouldn't have any room for baby things..but it all worked out and everything fits! Yay!!

Ok so this post ended up being a LOT longer than I thought.. So much for short and sweet eh? :) Oh well, I'm done blabbering now...here are some pics!

We had our nephew Uliti for the day last Wednesday...he is soo stinkin cute and chubby. I love him. He and Sam sat and watched tv like that for quite some time.. :)

PRIVATE

So...since our little lady is gonna be here in a matter of weeks (hooly cow, can't believe that..) we've decided we wanna go private so that only people we know can see pics of her (there are way too many creepers out there that I do NOT want looking at her..).
I hope to be really good at posting so that my side of the family will be able to see lots of pictures of her since they won't see her in person til she's a month or so old! Sooo, I will be making our blog private here in the next week-ish, so if you want to read about our ooh so interesting lives, leave me your e-mail address!! Ok? Ok. Ok.

And just in case anyone cares.... Sam and I are both doin really well! Sam is finally done with his probation time at work, so now he can have time off, and trade and pick up shifts..which is great cause he can work as many overtime hours as he wants! He's already picked up a few shifts, and that extra money is really gonna help us. We're SOO thankful for his job!!!!!
I've had some rough nights of hardly any sleep, but I learned that I sleep soooo much better on an air mattress, so that's where I've been sleeping the last few nights! Sucks getting on and off of...but man, I sleep a ton better.
Baby girl is getting big and gets the hiccups a LOT!! I swear, at least once a day I feel her hiccuping in there. It was cute at first, but now I could live without them :) I go to the doctor every week now!! I can't BELIEVE how fast the last 35 weeks have gone by! Ahhh! She'll be here before we know it! But we're both really excited...neither of us are nervous......yet. but I'm pretty sure that when we get to the hospital it'll really hit us, and I know I'LL be anxious/nervous. We are ready for her though, we just need a carseat and we're set! I'm having a baby shower this Fri that my sis in laws are throwing me, and I'm excited, but not sure where we'll put everything that we get! We're jam packed in our tiny apartment as it is!! So it'll be fun figuring all that out.. :)
That's about it for us...I think I'm going to go make some oreo cookies.....yumm!

birthday and babymoon

Last Thursday afternoon Sam and I went to a super cool hotel for the afternoon and night to celebrate his early birthday, and to have a relaxing time in a hotel for a little babymoon!

We got there around 4 and layed around and watched tv on our big comfy bed for a few hrs, opened Sam's bday presents, went to dinner at Olive Garden(our very most favorite place), were lazy some more in bed and were asleep by 11. :) It was SOO nice!! Friday morning we got to sleep in, and went to a super yum pizza place for lunch, and then I took Sam to get an hour massage! He's always wanting me to massage his back and shoulders, and I only can for like 5 mins because then my hands start to hurt!! He's so big and thick that it makes it difficult... so I got him a massage and he LOOOVED it!! He was so excited. While he got his massage, I went shopping at Old Navy... Bad idea. They have SOO many cute baby things.. I spent the entire hour in the baby girl section wishing i could buy everything! But, I only walked away with 3 things, so I was pretty proud of myself! :) I got 2 CUTE onsies and some little jeans...I can't wait to put them on her!! After his massage, we went home and hung out for a bit, then went to the Diamondbacks game with some friends! We were squished between people and had people in front and behind us...so I felt a little crammed and hot, but it was still a lot of fun...and duh head me didn't take any pictures at the game. Oh well, you can all just imagine :)

Saturday was Sam's actualy birthday, and he had to work, so I just stayed home and was seriously lazy and when he was done with work we went and hung out with our friends...so we had a really fun weekend! It was nice to relax and play, and do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted! We know we won't have many weekends like that here in a few months, so we really really enjoyed it!

64 days..

I can't believe we have 64 days left til our little girl will be here...We're getting more and more excited the closer we get! She'll be here before we know it, so we're trying to really take advantage of our alone time and some peaceful nights :)

There really isn't much to say..nothing too exciting is going on around here for us. We're both just working and trying to survive in the dang heat! IT IS SOOO HOT!!! I about die every day. Oh well, only a few more months til it cools off, I think I can make it!

Last weekend we went up to Idaho/Utah for a few days to spend some time with my family. It was a LOT of fun! We stayed at my mom's thursday night, and we always love that. She has such a cute, comfy home and we love to be there with her! Friday evening we went to Anneke and Tom's for a combined bday party for Andy, Aaron, Andrea and Sam which was SO much fun...we always laugh so hard and have such a good time when we're with family. It was a really fun weekend!

Sunday night at about 7 I started feeling really dizzy and light headed, and I've had little dizzy spells lately, so I thought it would just last 20-30 mins like my other ones. But it didn't go away...and didn't go away...and eventually made me really sick to my stomach and I started throwing up a bunch...so much in fact that a bunch of blood vessels in my face popped, all around my eyes. I looked really great..........

Anyway, I was finally able to relax and fall asleep at about 1 am...but woke up at 23o to no power in our apartment!! Lovely... I called our electric company and there was a huge outage, so we were without A/C for AN HOUR AND A HALF!! It was so ridiculously hot! After 30 mins or so, I went and sat in the shower with semi-cold water just to keep cool. It was bad enough being in a tiny apartment with no air, but there I was feeling like CRAP...with no air. It was not fun AT ALL. But at least I wasn't dizzy I just felt like I had a really bad migraine. And I couldn't keep even a little sip of water down..I just threw it right back up. But I was finally able to go back to sleep from 4-8, and when I got up then I called my doc to let her know what was going on. I was a MESS. She called me back a few hrs later and told me to go to the hospital to the OB Triage to have me and my baby monitored to make sure my blood pressure was okay, and that baby girl was okay as well. Sam had to work ,and couldn't get out of it, so his mom took me. They put that little thing on my belly to constantly hear the baby's heartbeat, and took my blood pressure every so often. And they also gave me an IV cause I was SEVERELY dehydrated. The nurse had a hard time getting my IV in cause my veins were collapsed from being so dry! So they pumped lots and lots of fluids in me and got some medicine to help my head and stomach. It was amazing how much better I felt after 15 mins of having that IV! One time when the nurse came in to check on me, she was talking to me, and then stopped and was listening to the baby's heartbeat, and she said "I think your baby has the hiccups!" And she did! haha, it was so cute...:) All that fluid must have gotten to her quick and made her hiccup. It was really cute. She's such a busy little girl, the ultrasound tech, my doc, and all the nurses I've ever seen have all said how much of a mover she is..and its true. She never holds still! But anyway.. I was there for like 5 hrs and then gotta go home. I felt sooo much better. They put me on a clear liquid diet for 12 hrs to get me really really hydrated again. But by Tuesday morning I felt good as new! Thank goodness! I've got to be soo soo good at drinking lots so I don't get to that point again, it was no fun! I'm just glad it wasn't anything major and that my baby was/is okay!

Well...that's really about it. Maybe something exciting will happen around here soon for me to post about! Cross your fingers!!

sleepy heads

I'm babysitting our nephews Kali and Suli today while everyone else in Sam's family works at 2 different fairs for the 4th...Me and Sam took them swimming this morning and then we had to take Sam to work, and on the way there all 3 boys fell asleep!!


They all looked SOO uncomfortable, but all 3 of them were snoring!! Cute boys.

Nothing too exciting is going on around here... I'm 29 weeks pregnant today, only 77 days to go!! Can't believe how fast it's going, but Sam and I are both pretty anxious to meet our little baby girl. Everything with the pregnancy is going really well, I'm a little anemic so I have to take Iron pills a few times a day, but other than that I'm golden! Baby girl moves ALLL the time and a few nights ago Sam was able to feel her move a bunch. It seems like every time he tried before, she'd hold really still. But that night she was going nuts moving and kicking.
Thats really about it... we are going to Utah/Idaho next week which I'm really excited about! Sam hasn't been up there since Christmas, so it'll be fun for him to get to see my family and for them to see him too! And a few weeks after that we are going somewhere...location undecided.....for a little getaway for a babymoon and for his 26th bday. We're just gonna get a nice hotel and do NOTHING...and I can't wait! I'm really looking forward to it.
